Monday, February 21, 10a-1p - Ma4ch 14 & 21, 2-5p Have you ever done a Lori Holt sew along? They are so much fun, and the finished projects are beautiful keepsake quilts. What could be better? ..... well ........ not doing them alone! The newest one starting at the end of January is called “Chicken Salad.” Made with her new fabric line, Cookbook, it features personally named hens and roosters. I LOVE it! If you love it too, join the Chicken Salad Club and make it with me. This will be a three session class that will teach not only Lori Holt’s method of appliqué, but three other ways as well. I usually use several appliqué methods in a quilt, depending on the shape of the individual piece. The three classes will be organized as follows: Class 1: Preparing and organizing the fabric. Instruction of Lori Holt’s favored appliqué method. Bias Tape Maker use. What appliqué method I will use for each shape. Class 2: Instruction of more appliqué methods. Temporarily securing the appliqué pieces to the background. Class 3: Sewing down the appliqué (machine or hand). Quilting ideas. Finishing and embellishing. The sew along will have free instructions from Lori Holt’s blog every week. The class will add additional appliqué methods, sewing instruction, accountability partners (grin), support help, and fellowship (all less than $22 per class). Minding My P’s and Q’s Quilt Shop will have the quilt kits available with all you need to make this fantastic quilt; so.... pick one up, sign up for the class, and join me for some quilty chicken salad! Kits available for preorder!
